NaNo Day 7
Nov. 7th, 2017 05:03 pmI didn’t write anything on Sunday because we were with family followed by travelling, and then I didn’t write anything yesterday because I was tired from family and travelling. Also a bit stressed about my eating, although I think I’ve got that sorted out now.
The eating is going well, thank you for asking. The writing is going. I’ve finished Section 1 (I haven’t worked out yet if it’s going to be chaptered or sectioned or what - I’m just writing and will figure it out in a bit), so it’s on to Section 2. I think, at the moment, there are 5 ‘Sections’ to the story, but I can’t be 100% about that. Although I’m sure Section 5 will be mahoosive because it will be mostly SPACE BATTLE. Still, it’s rolling again and that’ll do me for now.

Rather than think about that, which was both impossible and ridiculous, Matt tuned out the heartbeats and the breathing, checking that the rest of his brain was back online. With the slightest of stretches he could hear the weapons creaking in their holsters, smell the burned out parts of three separate Drones that must have been caught up in the energy blast, taste ozone clinging to the inside of his mouth. Another deep breath, another stretch and he had a lock on the ground beneath him, the water pipes and conduits beneath that, the geological layers of rocks and metals beneath that, and the hot, molten mantle beneath that.
