2x11 'Adrift'
I iz sick (and tired and snuffly), so my 'Adrift' reaction post is effectively what I wrote in
torchwood_meta, here.
The short version is 'I liked it a lot'. There is a longer version than the meta one somewhere in my head, but I've got a huge Jack character-study rattling around in there, which I shall save for the end of the season. Not long to wait now, thanks to the BBC messing with the schedules.
I'm also reminding myself that a sore throat and fic-reading do not go together - I made it to the end of 'Orrery' then had an enormous coughing fit, which I can't help feeling is A Bad Thing. Thanks to everyone who was encouraging about it yesterday - the now unlocked post is below and over at
tw_audiofic. There isn't a Doctor Who equivalent, is there?
Jobs for today:
- finish
sga_genficathon story. I'm so close!
- find podfic to download
- move music off MP3 player so I can get podfic on it
- lie on bed
- find and break down more stories to read
- eat porridge as it's the only thing my stomach doesn't hate
- buy more porridge
- transfer LJ memories to del.icio.us
- think up fluff prompts for
miss_zedem
- lie on bed and groan.
Well, that sounds like a fun filled day to me. How's everyone else passing the time?

Sorry to hear the dizzy spells are continuing - nothing wrong with your blood sugar? I'm hypoglycaemic, so dizziness is more or less a way of life and a sign that I need to eat something. Hope the doctor gets it sorted out.

On the plus side, the place is dead. Nearly all the students have gone home for the hols, so we've only had about five customers all day. This meant I got to tidy my medical section in peace, and also managed to sort out some outstanding work left by the girl who's job I'm covering.
But four days off + no money = lots of time for writing this weekend :D And yay! Fluff prompts!

Still took enough of my sanity away from me that I haven't really been able to do much, though.

"transfer LJ memories to del.icio.us"
Are there any tools for this? I need to do the same but am sort of not keen on manually adding all the memories.

There aren't any tools that I know of. I don't have huge numbers of memories, and kind of liked the idea of doing them one by one, to remind myself what they are!

I have meetings again today. Yesterday I sat through a lovely three hour demonstration on how accounting would work in the new computer database. It might have been interesting, if I was actually IN the accounting department. *sigh* Today there are two more three hour meeting, neither for the department I actually work in.
