Days and days ago, fan_eunice put out a plea for Gwen & Ianto friendship fic. After watching the Torchwood finale, I felt the need to write fluff and the below is the result, posted to heretoutopia. It would have been up the day of the request, but my betas are evil and wonderful and refuse to let me post things that aren't the best I can do. Have I mentioned lately how much I adore them? *squishes them*

What Not To Buy

So, no trauma, no cliff-hangers, just friendship. Nice and peaceful and just what I needed to write right now. Especially since Jack just decided the plot of my Big Bang story was too boring for words, sat down, folded his arms and pointed out that he deserves something much cooler and more exciting and hey! Look! Plot! Have I mentioned lately how much I hate him? *goes in search of big stick*

Beta guys, I'll email you when I've actually written something, since even I'm sick of hearing me whine…

*raises eyebrow* This is Jack we're talking about. Do you want to feed him sugar? Because he's not exactly helpful when he's not on a sugar high, but if you want to scrape him off the ceiling, be my guest.

Ah, but you see Ianto monitors the caffeine intake and secretly feeds Jack decaff when he reaches critical levels. It's all part of the service.

The annoyance is that the Big Bang has solved itself - all that stuff I was moaning about? It's all sorted, just like that. But it means starting from scratch, and new research and all kinds of stuff. So I'm happy, just wishing he'd told me earlier :)
