jadesfire: Bright yellow flower (Buffy - Dawn/blah blah blah)

There were points in these when I felt like I'd eaten ton-tongue toffee, but I got there in the end! Both posted to [livejournal.com profile] amplificathon and [livejournal.com profile] tw_audiofic, and yes, I know the second one's more Doctor Who, but I can't find a DW audiofic comm, and I figure people who like Jack might enjoy it :) I should also add that [livejournal.com profile] amplificathon are inviting authors who are happy to have things read to put a post in the comm. Of course, I'd rather you let me know, but there are only so many hours in the day and I already have a backlog of stuff I want to read...

I'm far too overexcited that I have a tag at the Audio archive. Doesn't take much...

Oh, you have done such a beautiful job on "Something." (Haven't listened to the other one yet.) I have to admit, I was a bit reluctant to listen, because I love that story SO much and was afraid I'd be disappointed. I'm bouncing like crazy, though--and eager to listen to it again. "Something," on my iPod, read this brilliantly, is so very awesome.

I know exactly what you mean about being nervous - I'm making it a point of not posting stories unless I'm 95% happy with them (the perfectionist in me is never 100% happy) and I'm sure they're as good as I can get them. Some have ended up in the bin because they just sounded wrong.

So yay! I'm so glad you liked it! It's a wonderful story, and an absolute joy to read. Thank you! :D

Enjoy!

I've just listened to these two, and they're both lovely. I enjoyed them very much. I was especially impressed with "Something" because the story is so abstract and so intensely emotional, I think it might be hard to get the tone right, but you've hit it dead on.

Hoorah! Thank you so much - because of the specific tone, I actually found 'Something' easier to record. 'Conversations with the dead' has sort of got more plot, and a very different setence construction, and I was a little worried I was going to make it sound like a shopping list :) Glad that didn't happen!
