jadesfire: Bright yellow flower (Random - coffee splash)
I am not allowed to eat for another hour. Considering we're already an hour and forty-five minutes, I'm feeling surprisingly okay. I'm not chewing my own arm off, I'm not particularly snappy or shakey and I'm not even desperately hungry. Because my boss told me not to, I haven't gone into work, which means I had a ninety minute lie in and am not even that tired and missing my coffee. I'm starting to think the constant munchies may be more related to constant exhaustion than anything else.

Of course, yesterday at 1pm I was about ready to eat the readers if they got too close. *sigh* Typical Jades-timing. We'll see what happens.

But hey, at least I get to have breakfast out :)

Oh, and if anyone has a spare gecko-lib 1.8.14, please send it my way as my Firefox won't install without it :S

I hate having my morning routine interrupted. *sigh* Things went rapidly downhill after my earlier post, mostly because my other half got up and human interaction was required.

After we'd stitched his head back on where I bit it off, he drove me into town for the blood test. Have I mentioned before how awesome my doctor's surgery is? Not only did the nurse see me early, she picked up at once how scared I was, and was...not sympathetic, exactly, just. Understanding. I HATE needles so very much, but I can handle it if the person wielding it just gets on with things. I had a nightmare at one blood test where the nurse basically mocked me for it and got me so wound up that I couldn't hold still enough for her to take any blood and when she did it hurt. So. Yeah. Nice nurse=very good things.

But with my eating routine thrown like that, I've been off-kilter all morning. Tired and grumpy and not really able to concentrate. Grrrr.

But. Lists have helped this week, so let's keep at it:

It's not too long although 2/3 of it is copied from yesterday )

COMING UP AFTER THE NEWS:

Mild-mannered librarian throws computer out of window in shocking Linux-related outburst. No sparrows were harmed, although a duck was slightly stunned and had to be brought to the bank for first aid. The computer sank into the river without trace, which the librarian noted was just as well since if it did show its case again, she couldn't be held responsible for her actions.

As they were doing up the straps on her straitjacket to take her away, she was heard muttering, "it said it couldn't install firefox and it didn't install firefox because it didn't have the gecko package and nothing at all was happening and I could find the thing about the gecko on bugzilla only there was nothing about where to find the gecko and I just right-clicked and then I clicked on the icon and then I had Firefox only not the Firefox I wanted it was the previous version of Firefox that I know I uninstalled how the hell did it get back on there?"

We speak to the gecko.
