I've just posted 4 podfics to [livejournal.com profile] amplificathon, mostly Gen, all an absolute joy to read. Huge thanks to the authors. Cross posting to [livejournal.com profile] tw_audiofic and [livejournal.com profile] sgapodfic.

The Dancer from the Dance by [livejournal.com profile] daeger [The Persian Boy; Gen]
Can I get there by Candlilight by [livejournal.com profile] nightdog_barks [SGA; Gen]
Like Breathing by [livejournal.com profile] penknife [Star Wars, post-ROTJ; Gen]
Time to Forget by [livejournal.com profile] miss_zedem [Torchwood; Jack/Ianto]

My list of stories to read is getting shorter, so if you have any offers - I'll read anything up to PG (because I'm afraid I cut out swearing when I read, so if you'd rather I didn't, it's probably not the story for me), nothing too explicit, and up to about 5k in length for the moment. My list of epics for future recording is getting longer, which strikes me as ironic. Anyway, I'll tackle any of the fandoms on my interests list, so suggest away - do offer your own stuff, or suggest an author I might like but don't know. Not everything I've tried has worked, but I promise to try!

If you're on my flist and have given me permission to play already, I shall also be working my way through your back catalogue :)

I'm currently looking in the wardrobe, working out what to wear to see 'Singin' in the Rain' at the cinema. Gene Kelly on the big screen. I may swoon. Unfortunately, it's only a Vue cinema, not something like The Rex, which means I shall spend the first ten minutes thinking that it's all too loud, and the rest of the film trying not to recite the words. Can't wait :D

If only all Mondays were like this...

I owe people emails, fic and other things, I'm sure. They're all on a list somewhere and I shall get to them, I promise.

Recite the words! If the people sitting next to you are annoyed by it, tough luck - they should have already seen the movie by now, and learned the words too! :-)

And if you're running out of fics, you are very much welcome to do any of mine :-) I would be honored and happy et cetera. My list is here (http://roga.livejournal.com/67383.html), and Can't Stop The Turtle (http://roga.livejournal.com/45710.html) might be cool; it's a Discworld/Firefly crossover, but I tried making the narration a bit Discworldish, so your accent could come in handy :-)

Hee. We did recite some of them, but I was mostly too rapt to think of it. Full report to follow :)

Ooh, that's fantastic, thanks. I shall raid your fic list and let you know if I think I can make a fair go of anything. Much appreciated :D

Jades, I'm downloading "Can I get there by candlelight" right now. But of course you are welcome to play in my sandbox, any and all of my fic, if you like!

I've sometimes thought that podficcing might be rather fun, but I haven't got the time to start another obsession! :)

*grin* let's hope you don't regret that offer... I shall have a raid, thank you so much!

I'm lucky that I seem to be squeezing everything in for the moment - the [livejournal.com profile] amplificathon challenge is only for another couple of weeks, so I expect the output to trail off after that :)

snitching the TW and SGA stories (and shall slip them onto hubby's ipod *shh*) How are you doing in the audiofic standings now?

Yay for Singing in the 'Rain in the theater'! My college showed it way back then and it was great because everyone sang along and shouted out lines and whatnot, sort of like "Rocky Horror Picture Show" I bet you'll have a great time!

I'm sure I offered up my fics before, but just in case I didn't please feel free to have a looksee. :)

Hee - very sneaky :) I'll find out how I'm doing later today - this lot is worth 42 points, which is pretty good, but I'm not sure what the others have been up to...

Singing in the Rain was awesome, thanks - full report to follow!

Thanks! I'll have a raid and see if any of them work with my voice. Much appreciated!

I recc'd your readings to someone on my friends' list who was getting ready for a long car trip. You were a big hit. :)

I'd be thrilled if you recorded "Terms of Payment," or anything else your heart desires. You read so beautifully, with a writer's eye for how a story flows.

Oh, that's great to know, thank you! I'm very much someone who 'hears' when I read, and I listen to lots and lots of audiobooks anyway, so I seem to have absorbed some tips from them :D

And thank you for the offer - I have terrible trouble going through people's lists and choosing something, so that's great, thanks. I'll add it to my list!

It was a real joy to read, such a pleasure.

If you're having trouble with the megaupload link, try this one (http://jinjurly.com/audio/can-i-get-there-by-candlelight/), which is now permanent.

Huh. You know what? Have a look at [livejournal.com profile] out_there's stuff. I'd love to be able to listen to them on my ipod while I'm at work or on the tram or something.

I can't remember how much of them is PG, but there are a few. :D

Ooh, thank you so much for the rec. I don't know those stories at all, so I get a new author as well as stories to read! I'll have a look and see if I think I can do them justice :)

Oh, she's fantastic! I've rec'd a few of her fics on my LJ which are listed somewhere here (http://in-the-bottle.livejournal.com/tag/rec). The first 3 entries on the list has her work, so you might want to check those out. :D And trust me, she will be filled with *glee* if you ask her about recording the fics. Glee I tell you, with waving hands and squee and all. Hee!

I'm the one flailing here - her writing is fantastic, so I'm happily mainlining it and spamming her with comments :) I shall have to stop and ration myself soon...

Thank you so much!

LOL!! Glad to be spreading the joy! She doesn't post to comms and stuff, so it's people on her flist that gets to read it. :D

Now, if you'd do the audio versions of her fic, I think I've got my xmas present right there! ;)
