Tardis Big Bang! Picture by hllangel

[livejournal.com profile] hllangel (whose idea the whole shebang was), [livejournal.com profile] darththalia and [livejournal.com profile] ladyamarra have been fantastic to work with, we've had an absolute blast and I can't believe we got through with our senses of humour intact!

So! Go peruse the fantastic stories, with everything from Gen to strong NC-17 stuff, Time Lords, villains, heroes and everyone in between. Go boggle at the incredible artwork, and the vids. Have fun and remember to tell everyone how brilliant they are!

And if you wrote or made something, remember to track your post in the feedback journal at [livejournal.com profile] tardisbigbang

ETA: Er...*shuffles feet* My story is linked below, by the way. With art by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] _medley_ and [livejournal.com profile] matsujo9.

Title: Moonrise
Summary: 1969, Torchwood House, Scotland. When Jack is sent to investigate a series of thefts, he finds that the history of the House is not as past as he'd thought. [Rating: M (violence)]
This story fits into my Sic Transit Tempus series, and contains references to the Doctor Who episode Tooth and Claw but can easily be read without knowledge of them.

OMG!! It's SO incredible! *bounces some more*

(No, I have not been obsessively refreshing the bigbang page for the last two hours. Really)

the kids are now chasing after one another with hangers pretending they are claws (ala "Claws of Axos") and trying to trip one another.

After I finish this be prepared with long rambling comment of squee. Just warning you.

Me too! I've had access to the site for weeks, but haven't managed to sit down and read anything from top to bottom. There's some really good stuff in there, and the art is brilliant.

I'm eating toast to combat the down from the high, and reminding myself that it's a)still mid-afternoon in the US, people are at work and b)the damn things are >20k. These things take time... ;)

*nods* It's the kind of thing people will read in instalments, so don't freak out if you don't get reviews for a couple of days - they'll happen!

heh. I know. We've just been so excited about going live, and it happens and the world goes on turning *rolls eyes*

Mind you, I've just got stuck into "The Eye of the Storm" and am now miffed that I have to go pick J up, so I'm in the same position as everyone else :D

And damn, I love it to bits. I've always wanted the werewolf plot to become important again, and this wonderful. Poor wolfy Jack.

*grins* Thanks! It started with "I want to write a werewolf story!" and after some false starts, I ended up here. It was worth the trip, I think.

So glad you enjoyed - thank you so much!

Definetly worth the trip! I'm marvelling at how you succeed at telling such a tightly knit story in apparently more than 20.000 words... seemed a lot less :)

Congrats on achieving such a huge event, not only writing but being responsible for putting this together and providing an outlet for such creativity. I know it took time, sleep, energy and tears to slave over it.

Be very proud!

Thank you! It was a lot of work, and we've been living with for a year, which feels like forever. But the site looks fantastic, and there's some really great stuff there, so we're chuffed to bits!

Thanks!

Hee. Have fun! I think I'm going to have to do the same, or maybe print them out, else the suspicious lack of typing might tell my colleagues I'm not exactly working hard... ;)

I've been trying to figure out the Big Bang thing by following along with people's comments about it, but I didn't understand that it involved any more than the already hugely impressive feat of writing a 20,000 word fic by deadline. I had been wondering why, if you had finished yours, you had never posted it. Now I understand that y'all were creating a huge multimedia *website* for all the entries and art. Wow! That's very cool. Very, very cool. Congratulations!

I can't read long fics on the computer, so I have printed off yours and donutsweeper's and I'll be reading them over breakfast and possibly while walking to and from my office for as many days as it takes - more than I'd like*, probably, but don't worry, I'm reading! And really looking forward to it.

*Oh! But not because the fics are too long, just because I'm slow and not enough dedicated time.

I wasn't 100% sure about it myself at first, then I looked at the mostly finished website a few days ago and thought "oh! when that goes public it really is going to be a big bang, isn't it?" :) Thanks!

I know what you mean about long fics on the computer. I tend to lose my place, or get interrupted and have to click away and lose my place. Printing sounds like the way forwards. Have fun!
