But why is the squee gone?

I am starting to think that there is only a finite amount of squee in the universe.
fandom_me and
fan_eunice both have theirs back, as do various other members of my flist. Mine has vanished. Not that I didn't enjoy Doctor Who, I just...can't find the squee.
I know why, I know there's nothing I can do about it, and I know that having hayfever like flu isn't helping, but damnit I want the happy. I don't want to cry at my desk or a WWII documentary or a trailer for the Olympics.
*stamps foot*
Enough crying. More happy please.
#1. Where was Jenny? Have I just missed all the posts asking about her? Because seriously, the hand getting its own close up at the beginning, not bubbling was all kinds of significant.
#2. I'm 99.9% sure (and have done extensive rewatching, purely for research, of course) that the gun Jack's got there? That's his Gamestation gun. You know how I said I was looking for my squee? Fic about that would make me 10 kinds of happy *flutters eyelashes*
ETA3:#2a. Yup, that's the one (thanks
aeron_lanart!). Also, Fic! as requested, with thanks to Becky!
My vote for 'most faithful companion' still goes for Rose. As much as I'd like it to be one of the others, this is RTD's world, and so I'm voting it's Rose. Also, clear evidence of skewed priorities? The thing I'm most looking forward to in the next episode: Donna and Jack in the same room. Oh yes.
Huh. There's some of my squee. Anyone care to provide me with more?
ETA: Of course, when all else fails, there's always icanhascheezburger to make me smile
ETA2: *blinks*
torchwood_three links to this journal. I don't mind, I just didn't know. Huh. If I'd known I would have tidied up around here first. *hides washing up*
ETA4: (3 is under the cut, and yes, it's one of those days...) The Times headline: So if it isn't bug eat bug, what is it that's killing the honey bees
