Vid recs

So, a while back I decided to stop being scared of vids and actually watch some. It never really took, though, and I stuck to ones that got heavy recs from friends or were by people I knew.

But sometimes taking a risk pays off. micewerefurious has 4 fanvids. Doctor Who + the Musicals = Wins Everything.

I understand next to nothing about vidding, except when I'm seeing good ones. And few have caught me as much as these. I think it's the cleverness of them, especially in 'One Day More'. The (what I can only call) casting, the timing and the pacing just *worked* for me. It helps that I love the songs, but I think that mostly means that if they'd been awful, I would have known it. But they're brilliant, and I'm never going to be able to listen to the songs again without grinning.

On a completely and utterly unrelated matter, does anyone out there speak Portuguese? I'm reliant on Babelfish for a fic, and that's never a good thing...

Ooh, I don't know 'Banned from Argo', but yes, 'Papa Don't Preach' is definitely a similar level of genius. These made me giggle so much, and I think Jack would quite appreciate being Elsie... ;)
