So. Monday, eh? What's with that?

In lieu of content, have some links:

LOL cats: Live!

There are times when I love the way YouTube users respond to each other. This vid was posted, and then the Muppet creators got hold of it and...well. This happened. And this. Gotta love the muppets.

Every day until the site goes live, [livejournal.com profile] sgabigbang writers are giving previews of their work at the comm. Mine won't be til next week, but I thought I'd point it out for anyone who wants to make sure they don't miss a fic that would be perfect for them.

I've read some great SGA fic lately and keep forgetting to link to them. They're all happy stories, because that seems to be what I need at the moment:

Breathe by [livejournal.com profile] pwcorgigirl
One time when John wanted to talk and couldn't.

The Four Moments Ronon Realized He Loved Someone From Atlantis and the One Time He Knew All Along by [livejournal.com profile] kristen999

Within your Arms by [livejournal.com profile] perspi
The best family is the one you make, and if it has three fathers, how is that not wonderful?
[this has now been Jossed by S5, but is a fantastic look at the team, not just at Teyla's pregnancy]

The Pretty Peculiar Pegasus Pesach by [livejournal.com profile] roga
Passover in Atlantis, in an Everyone's Jewish!AU.
[I'm not just reccing it because of my audiofic! I love how [livejournal.com profile] roga always gets the humour/tenderness balance absolutely right, and this is a wonderful teamfic as well as being seriously funny]

Even Bonnie and Clyde Had Off Days by [livejournal.com profile] friendshipper
Teyla is thrown in jail when she accidentally violates a local custom, and Ronon breaks her out, whether she wants him to or not.

And one Torchwood story (not quite so happy. Oh Jack):
Memory's Edge by [livejournal.com profile] pwcorgigirl
It's a ritual of remembrance.

Anyone care to rec me good Torchwood fic? I've been doing that much writing lately, I haven't had the chance to wade through the newsletter to find good stuff.

And yes, in addition to the Big Bang, the Flashfic and the Audiofic recording, there's yet more output from me. Don't ask where it's all coming from.

For [livejournal.com profile] gateverse_remix:

I'm thinking of writing some commentary-type stuff, maybe on the Big Bang pieces, or some meta-y stuff that's been bugging me lately. Except the only way I seem to be able to write at the moment is in stupidly intense bursts, rattling through 6,000 words in a day and not wanting to stop. I'm pretty sure it's avoidance behaviour, but it's...frustrating. The one meta I do definitely want to write is one about hypoglycaemia and SGA. I know of one fic that actually deals with it properly, and while I don't think it's a big thing, it's annoying to see something you know about done wrong.
