My hormones have me in the most un-birthday mood imaginable, but things are, in fact, good on the whole. My RL presents include dangly earrings, money towards a baby computer, a gorgeous skirt, a pretty scarf and SGA S3 and S4, all of which are awesome. Links to other presents below. Thanks for all the good wishes, guys! Much appreciated :D

A cover for 'Moonshine' by [livejournal.com profile] thefannishwaldo. Okay, that's technically part of the Fandom Free For All, but the timing's good.

As is [livejournal.com profile] rustydog's - your postcard arrived this morning! Thank you!

And in double proof of her brilliance, Rusty has done the most awesome recording of my SGA fic "Five Times McKay and Sheppard came back to Atlantis without their clothes". Download it from this post and tell her how brilliant it is - I've listened to it 3 times already and it just keeps getting better!

[livejournal.com profile] bringthehappy is going great - keep up the happy!

I've volunteered to write 5 things for people as part of the Free For All. That's probably my limit sensibly, given I want to get some stuff down for [livejournal.com profile] bringthehappy as well, but it's been great to add to my 'to do' list again. My writing is always better under pressure, and with that, [livejournal.com profile] artword and the [livejournal.com profile] sgahcchallenges exchange coming up, I hope to stave off the blues and get rid of the writer's block that's held me up all week.

Also to that end, a meme nicked from [livejournal.com profile] dune_drd (cross-posted to [livejournal.com profile] heretoutopia):

Request any fic of mine and I will provide you with a commentary/annotations, like a DVD extra

[please don't request "Resonance" as one is forthcoming soon (squeee!) but otherwise, everything linked from the sidebar is fair game]

I only opened the DVDs...*checks watch*...twelve hours ago! I'll let you know about the commentaries when I get there ;)

I'm just about back on an even keel, which is such a relief. Plus I got more nice pressies from the other half, so that cheered me up no end!

*grin* Have you and donutsweeper been sharing a brain again? That's the story she asked for! Since I'll be doing that anyway, do you want to choose a different one (covered so far are 'Snookered' and 'The Doldrums' as well as 'Ghost...')? Long or short, any you like. It's my birthday - I'm feeling generous ;)

*hugs back* Thanks!

Whoops, I must have forgotten to refresh before I made the request. I had only seen one commentary request when I posted. Oh wait, you put it up at heretoutopia, didn't you. Silly Rusty. Okay, more choices, yay! How about "Quietus."

I'm glad you're feeling more even. The commentaries - for some reason I thought you had DVDs for previous seasons, and I thought you might have watched those. Didn't mean to rush! :)

Heh, the perils of living between two journals ;) Interesting choice - I'll see what I can do.

Ah, sorry, misunderstood what you meant. Yes, most of the commentaries are fantastic, although it's obvious that not everyone enjoys doing them - David Hewlett and Martin Gero love it, Joe Flanigan has trouble getting a word in edgewise... I don't like the Peter DeLuis ones so much, but then I tend not to like his episodes so much, so that's not surprising! I'm looking forward to trying out the new ones, especially for S4.
