Summary: Oh, sure, riders said that dragons never hurt humans, but had anyone who believed that ever taken a good look at those teeth?

[Cross-posted to [livejournal.com profile] sgapodfic and [livejournal.com profile] amplificathon]

When I read this story at [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic, I never wanted it to stop. Because it works, so completely that you absolutely cannot see the join. The character voices are spot on, it's funny and sweet and just right in a way that still makes me grin stupidly. Which is tricky when you're trying to read. So even if you're not going to download, go have a read of it. Because this story just can't get enough love.

Also, because I know you like to laugh, I thought I should demonstrate the dangers of reading a story you love. (30 second outtake)

OMG I LOVE OUTTAKES!!! [livejournal.com profile] the_oscar_cat's 'Fond' outtake from the Nantucket AU remains one of the .mp3s in my collection that NEVER FAILS to make me giggle like mad.

EDIT:

I officially love you a lot, want to take you home with me, and MOURN the fact that I cannot spend a lot of time listening to you being ADORABLE LIKE WOAH.

There are always boring outtakes too, but sometimes these things just get away from me...

*giggle* My ambition for this year is to record 24 hours of podfic. I think I'm up to about 10 at the moment...

Glad you enjoyed! Thanks :D

The outtake made me giggle. A lot. ♥ What a happy, happy little clip! Though I'm trying to get the whole story from Megaupload, and it's not letting me get to it...!

Have now listened to the full thing, and - awww! So much love! I've only ever read one Pern book, and wasn't too terribly taken with it - I did like the fic, a lot, but it's still not my world. The way you read it, though, the world and the atomsphere at the hatching grounds and Rodney all came through so clearly that I couldn't help but feel at home. ♥

And I hope this isn't a weird kind of compliment to give, but I actually listened to it last night, when I was so tired but too nervous to sleep, and it helped. A lot. It was - calming. It took my mind off of all my own problems, and helped me lose myself in something sweet and fun, and after that I could actually go to sleep. So. Thank you, not only for the lovely reading, but for the hours of sleep I'm not sure I would've gotten without this recording!

I adore the Pern books, and I thought [livejournal.com profile] xparrot caught them perfectly, so I'm really glad the atmosphere came across.

Oh, that's the most wonderful compliment! So glad you managed to sleep at least a little and so happy I helped :D Thank you for telling me!

Eeeeeee! *flails*! This is awesomesauce! I love your voice (is it weird to say that? but you have an awesome voice, and I love your accent. And you do Rodney's sarcasm so perfectly!)

Also the outtake is fantastically cute. And makes me blush - audible squee! for my story! eee!

*giggle* It's weird - I have a pretty "BBC English" accent generally, but when I record these things, I can absolutely hear the North London coming through. Fortunately, people don't seem to mind too much!

I could Not Stop Grinning - if you know what you're listening for, you can hear the moment when I start and can't stop - which made it incredibly difficult to get through the story! Glad you like it though, thanks!
