*looks over shoulder*

I'm not really here, honest. Just dropping 3 quick things then running off to have a real life while the sun is shining.

#1. We're going to Morocco! We've booked our flights to Marrakech *happy dance* Anyone who wants to recommend things to do is more than welcome to! Can't wait :D

#2. The [livejournal.com profile] artword Round Robin stories are going up over the next few days. I added the ending, title and summary to Lost In Communication, and will be advertising the one I kicked off once it's up. Which should be soon, so advance apologies for spamming. The whole round robin thing was a mixed blessing - I don't regret taking part, but it wasn't the easiest fic fest I've ever signed up for. Doesn't mean it wasn't worth it though - writing outside my comfort zone is definitely good for me - and I can't plug [livejournal.com profile] artword enough!
[#2.1 Voting is still going for the Last Fic Writer Standing contest over at [livejournal.com profile] sgahcchallenges I'd be intrigued to know if anyone knows which one's mine...]

#3. My NaNo is dead. I'm alright with that, because it just wouldn't have worked. I'll probably give it a few days to settle, then go and start something completely new. My main problem is working out what I want to say about my main character. I can't write to plot, and I can't just write a character. I have to want to say something about him/her/them, and that's what I'm not sure about right now. I'll figure it out, but it's going to take me a little while.

How's your weekend going? Having fun?

I'm not here either (ZOMG Bat Mitzvah chaos) but wanted to offer a *hug* about your NaNo- maybe it'll still work out?

Oh and I purposed tried NOT to think of who wrote what for the [livejournal.com profile] sgahcchallenges, if that makes sense. That way I wouldn't be biased in any way.

I think you did a good job with your assignment of finishing the artword story. :) As usual, I had trouble understanding how the whole process worked until I got to see the finished product. It's really very interesting! Especially the art. I've heard of round-robin stories before, but I never would have thought of having artists collaborate in turn on a piece of artwork.

The NaNo story - I know you did a lot of research for it, and it sounded like you were enjoying the research. I'm sure that will be useful sometime later.

I'm procrastinating starting to edit research papers. I thought reading LFWS stories would be a good break between papers, but so far that's all I've done. ::headdesk::

I didn't even attempt NaNo even though I know I'm perfectly capable of the word count. Just don't write well to schedules, me, and I feel guilty when I take up something and don't manage to do it on time.

Weekend is good. I am off work! I have no car, but the weather ain't too bad for the bike and the train journeys to work this week have meant I've had some time for writing. The train has always been a creative place for me, funnily enough.

I highly recommend taking Patch with you *nods*. Lol, or failing that, having lots of fun and posting lots of pictures!

Good luck with the new NaNoWriMo!

I've gone through all of the entries in LFWS once and now need to go back over my top 7 or 8 to choose my favourites and vote. It will be a refreshing break later on this evening. There's one in particular I think might be yours.... but I may be wrong.

I guess I won't be meeting up with you again at NaNo, then, this year. :( I'm sorry it didn't work out for you this time, because your idea sounded interesting.
Still, I understand what you mean with

My main problem is working out what I want to say about my main character.

I know I'm just throwing plot around wildly and not exploring anything. It's frustrating.

Marrakech! What a wonderful thought! *does happy dance with you*
