Working late is always a mixed blessing. It's quiet so I can get things done, but when it's quiet, I tend to get easily distracted by other things. Y'all are welcome to be that distraction, by the way - I'm here for the next couple of hours if anyone wants to drop in and say hi.

I've been hopeless about replying to comments properly lately, so I'm going to try to catch up with that, as well as doing some posting to comms and emailing that's hanging over me, and trying to get into an SGA frame of mind so I can write my two fics. Anyone got any spare SGA plot bunnies? Or is there something I've mentioned in passing or that you've always wanted to see written but never had the courage to ask? Well, ask away, because I'm all out of ideas here...

This is also today's Awesomeness post. Today I have been awesome because I cycled to work again. It was seriously hard work - much harder than yesterday - but I'm going to cycle home again tonight; otherwise, I'm never going to get fitter and it's always going to be hard work!

I've also been awesome because I've worked hard again and stayed positive about work, even through the boring stuff. My tendency to focus on the interesting means that the dull stuff builds up - this is a habit I'm trying to break myself of, one day at time. Lists using coloured pens definitely help.

Did you realise we hit double figures of awesome yesterday? Lookit! Go us!

Great to hear about your great day. You are inspiring me.

As for plot bunnies, I may have a few for you. Another person on my Flist ask for ideas of shows that JF would be good in. I think the ideas could also be expanded to SGA with emphasis on JT as my OTP. Anyway my ideas were:

Jason Bourne type intrigue with Teyla as the girl that comes to his rescue.

or

Simon Temple aka the Saint

Both characters have traces of what makes JS what he is in SGA...moral ambiguity, emotional and physical whump & physical action figure.

Did this help?

Woohoo for cycling, although ouch for the saddle burn =/ It is indeedy awesome your continued efforts on adopting a more active lifestyle.

Anyone got any spare SGA plot bunnies?

...I have a hold WIP folder I have officially abandoned full of plot bunnies, complete with wacky Ancient tech and fun character hijinks. They are all free to a good home, because I will never finish them.

Um... I'm awesome today because... I ate breakfast? It's a little early still. I've burned through my projects at work, so I'm sort of in a lull at the moment. (Which leads to MUCH alt+tabbing when the boss comes in.)

Yeah, I've got 2x90 minute car journeys tomorrow that I am not looking forward to. But I'd reached the point where walking to work wasn't a challenge any more, so I needed something. Hopefully I can keep up the good work!

*makes grabby hands* I'm completely stuck for a macguffin at the moment, so will take practically anything! It's just one of those "I don't know where to start!" moments :S

Getting through everything is good! Keep up the alt+tabbing ;D

Cycling is totally awesome! *cycling high-five* As is wearing a helmet. (Oh, how people stare at my helmet here. But I like my head in one piece!)

Mmmmmm. I've been bad about homework today, but I did write a postcard in Japanese, to a Japanese friend, and then I wrote mails in Japanese to a random Japanese guy I just met, and I also went shopping and cooked supper using super-cheap ingredients. It was tasty. :D But now I have a pile of evil dishes lurking in my kitchen/hallway. Tomorrow's awesome: taking on the dishes! *g*

What else? I biked to school despite heavy clouds threatening rain, which saved me money! And I spoke up in class, and caught up with my LJ comments!

Whoo~! I really do feel accomplished, laying it all out like this. Thanks for giving me a venue where I can shamelessly boost my own self-confidence. ♥

Anyone got any spare SGA plot bunnies? Or is there something I've mentioned in passing or that you've always wanted to see written but never had the courage to ask? Well, ask away, because I'm all out of ideas here...

SGA plot bunnies:

1. (vague so as to not spoil anyone) at the end of the series finale - someone comes to visit Ronon. Maybe some background for this.

2. I'd love to read a fic where John has to handle being replaced as military commander.

3. Where are the Athosians? Are they living on their own or did they have to move to a world with several different cultures since they lost so many of their people to Michael? How are they handling the repercussions? How is Teyla affected by them?

4. Where does Ronon get his clothes especially that cool coat in Doppleganger? Does he recharge the energy cell in his blaster or does he have to find new ones?

5. In Outcast, McKay doesn't seem surprised to learn that Sheppard's father had been living during their first few years on Atlantis. How did he know about Sheppard's family?

6. What really happened between John and his father and brother?

Did any of these help?

PS. SGA plotbunnies! Hmmm... Umm, I think I gave some last time you were asking for things? (This was the time you ended up writing pirates!)

There's also always (asention-related) amnesia... Or someone has to go undercover/pretend to be someone else for some reason (bonus points if this person later on interacts with Stargate personnel who don't realise who the disguised person is) (umm, and I totally had a plot-related reason for this one, now let's see if I can remember it? Somehow there's some semi-advanced society that they want tech for? Hmmm, drat can't actually remember) The only actual bunnies (as opposed to random plot devices that amuse me greatly) that I currently have on my 'bunnies nibbling my brain parsley' list that I'm not actually writing at the moment is a re-doing of the dream-Janet things I wrote a bit ago (thing one (http://thingswithwings.livejournal.com/51233.html?thread=1841953#t1841953) and thing two (http://thingswithwings.livejournal.com/51233.html?thread=1875489#t1875489)), but I'm not sure what I want to be doing with the plot, which makes re-doing it difficult. If you'd like to play with it feel free. Or feel free to write more pirates! (Yes, the exclamation mark following 'pirates' is obligatory. And no, I don't know why)
