I am stupidly proud of myself right at this moment and just had to share. My little laptop runs a version of Linux called 'linpus lite' which is kind of like Fedora only not quite. Because of this, I've been living with Firefox2, on the basis that installing Firefox3 was big and scary.

Not any more. Oh no. I carefully copied all the codes, changed the root directory and ran the little program that someone wrote to re-install necessary parts of Firefox2 and the result?

Well, right now, the spellchecker is underlining everything as being mis-spelt, but I'm sure that will go off ;)

I no longer have to zoom in to see things in an LJ posting box. It's shiny and new and all exciting because I did it myself!

If I can do this, I can pretty much do anything!

ETA: AND I'd already installed Spotify on it earlier in the evening. I'm all teched up!

At least you can use FF. Everytime I run it on my mac it crashes bloody everything. I miss it :( And to this day I do not know (or, let's be honest, really care) why it does it. Hi there apathy. Meet the other three browsers on my computre now :D
