Drabbles offered to good homes

I am immensely chuffed today as "Coming Back" has been recced on crack_van. It's so lovely - the list is full of great writers and I always bounce to see my name among them! My Housefic "They Also Serve" was recced there a while back, so I'm feeling rather proud of myself :) Now all I have to do is write a Criminal Minds one to match them... ;)

In a burst of creativity, I'm offering drabbles/ficlets to all requestors. Any fandom (see my interests list), any pairing. I'm rather bouncy as The Wandering Years stopped wandering and started behaving themselves so come share the bounciness! I don't promise they'll be the same quality as fallen_arazil's, but I can try. :)

1. I can play both the descant and the treble recorders (not at the same time) to a fairly decent standard.

2. I can't wash my hair in the shower because I've got horribly sensitive skin and the shampoo makes me itch.

3. I used to be able to say thank you in 45 languages. I think I'm down to about 25 now.

4. I can type around 80 words a minute.

5. Baked beans make me feel sick.

6. I own a Beanie Buddy duck called Mr Pond, who lives on my computer hard drive at work. He was a 21st birthday present.

*relieved at prompt that shouldn't result in headache* I'm rapidly discovering why I don't write the Ninth doctor...

My favourite thing on crack_van are the show summaries - the Torchwood one is fantastic! And it's so selective, that it's really flattering to be recced there.

Apparently relief is inspiring... I started wondering, how did Swanson get Torchwood's number?

"Another day, another crime scene." Swanson sighed. "Another bunch of idiots muscling in on our patch."

"Actually, you're on our patch now."

She folded her arms. "Since when is murder your job?"

"This murder," he gestured to the slime on the walls and the eviscerated corpses, "is our job. You get anything else like it, you call us." He produced a card from nowhere, handing it to her.

"And if you stumble across anything that's our business, you call us." He took the card she offered, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"I'll bear that in mind."

Ooh, very nice - thank you! :D I do love the interplay between those two - so very much potential for verbal sparring with someone who is sort-of on the same side but who isn't in awe of Jack in any way. Hope we get to see more of her on screen....

I had to take out some of the "she's so not impressed" parts of this because of the word count :) Swanson should definitely get a second outing.
