I am immensely chuffed today as "Coming Back" has been recced on [livejournal.com profile] crack_van. It's so lovely - the list is full of great writers and I always bounce to see my name among them! My Housefic "They Also Serve" was recced there a while back, so I'm feeling rather proud of myself :) Now all I have to do is write a Criminal Minds one to match them... ;)

In a burst of creativity, I'm offering drabbles/ficlets to all requestors. Any fandom (see my interests list), any pairing. I'm rather bouncy as The Wandering Years stopped wandering and started behaving themselves so come share the bounciness! I don't promise they'll be the same quality as [livejournal.com profile] fallen_arazil's, but I can try. :)

Also, [livejournal.com profile] rivers_bend told us to consider ourselves tagged...

1. I can play both the descant and the treble recorders (not at the same time) to a fairly decent standard.

2. I can't wash my hair in the shower because I've got horribly sensitive skin and the shampoo makes me itch.

3. I used to be able to say thank you in 45 languages. I think I'm down to about 25 now.

4. I can type around 80 words a minute.

5. Baked beans make me feel sick.

6. I own a Beanie Buddy duck called Mr Pond, who lives on my computer hard drive at work. He was a 21st birthday present.

Like river, I hate tagging people, but love random facts, so post away!

It's my own phrase (which I'm trying to spread) for Foreman, Cameron, Chase in order to avoid using the dreaded D-word.

*sniggers at icon* Right you are :) Will see what happens. Nothing's come out the way I expected it so far...

What I love about drabble writing is that it's so damn unpredictable. This is not what I intended to write you (Chase will just have to wait).

Choices

"Did we run out of centrifuges?" His cane tapped twice. "Or did you just short circuit the last one by blubbing all over it?"

Cameron didn't turn, didn't ask how he'd found her hiding in the stores for her private session of grief.

"Have your emotional outpourings on your own time." The squeak of rubber on tiles. "Or better yet, grow a spine and don't have them at all."

When he was gone, she pulled a tissue from her pocket to wipe her face. Grow a spine? Or rip out her heart every time? She needed better choices than those.

Very nice. I loved the "centrifuge" scene. I though Hugh and Jen played it extremely well and shippers of either stripes could see possibilities from their own sets of glasses.

Thanks - it's been a while since I exercised my Housefic muscles! :) I know what you mean about those kinds of scenes - it's the ambiguity that makes these things fun.
