I'm battling away with my two AU stories for tw_exchange at the moment, so don't suppose I'm going to get much else done. I'm aware that I owe people a Robin Of Sherwood/TW crossover and an UNCLE/TW crossover, but they'll have to wait until inspiration strikes…

Stalking 101 by tanarian. Yes, I know this has been recced just about everywhere, but it can't be read by too many people. Really good, funny, clever stories are rare in any fandom, and especially in Torchwood.

And if you liked that, you'll love:

Lost Property by szm which is a kind of prequel to the above and just as funny.

Staying on the humour theme:

Jack Harkness, the infinitely prolonged by travels_in_time nearly killed me with laughter. Just brilliant.

Other Doctor Who stories that have caught my attention lately are:

The Oncoming Tongue by dark_aegis. Okay, so I'm biased, as I made some of the suggestions, but this is pure genius and I could just see it happening.

Bringing the tone to a more sombre level, is

Remembering by nessaja82 which has Jack, Rose and Nine in it. It's sad, beautiful and heartbreaking. Definitely a three hankie fic. If you read nothing else from this list, read this.

And for similar heartbreak:

The Burden of Truth by dark_aegis which is a Jack-centric, melancholy walk through his life. This one broke me, just a little.

Always happy to help :) I'm just starting on something with Nine, Rose and Jack (and Ten and Martha - don't ask) and so am having fun drawing on other stories for inspiration. Plus, if I enjoy something, it's only polite to say so.

lol. That story sounds like most of mine start out. I'm just working on a story that was supposed to be Jack/Gwen, then turned away to Jack/Ten and Jack/Ianto and now Martha has shown up and they'll also meet Rose again. *beams* Gotta love it when stories do that to you.

A badge? Hmmm... not yet. But there definitely should be!

*sulks* Not reading dark_aegis at the moment, not until there's more "Lost Soul" up. She(?)'s breaking me with what she's putting Jack through.

(To be honest, it was what I wanted to see--and knew we wouldn't--in "Utopia", and I could have dealt with that so much better than what we actually got, so it's a good breaking. But still.)

Well, you know I'm not happy unless Jack is miserable. With a happy ending, of course. So I'm loving this story, except there's no happy ending yet, so I'm still traumatized right along with Jack.

...I should probably look into therapy for that. Or something. :D

*grin* Have you read mine? (see X-men post below). I'm starting to think someone must have taken me aside at a later date and explained the POV concept, which I have been preaching to others ever since :)
