My answers:
1. What's your favorite animal (does not have to be domesticated)?
Got to be tigers. They've got all the 'rawr' factor of lions, but they're much prettier, much sleeker and I love that they can swim. Beautiful, amazing animals.
2. What time of day do you like best?
Early morning, before everyone else is up and about. There's this wonderful feeling of having got to the day first. I guess it's the competitive streak in me.
3. Do you know how to swim, and how old were you when you learned?
My mother is terrified of swimming, so she was determined that I'd learn early and not be scared. So I learnt at my local pool at about the age of four or five. I developed an allergy to chlorine, which makes swimming harder nowadays, but I still absolutely love it.
4. If you know how to cook, what's your favorite thing to make? (If you can't cook, what's your fave entree in a restaurant?)
Nigella Lawson's Dense Chocolate Loaf cake. It only works about one time in four, but it's this amazing chocolate loaf that tastes like nothing else on earth.
5. Do you remember any counting rhymes from jumping rope when you were little?
I hated skipping (jumping rope)! I'm a complete klutz and always used to get tangled in the rope and scrape my knee. But I seem to remember there was one with cities. And salt and pepper. I think I've blotted them out of my memory...
