Well, I've had 12 votes, 8 in favour and 3 against (and 1 'too busy' which I don't think is meant as an objection in principle), so even my maths can tell that that's a majority view.

I'll have a mull about comms and names and rules and deadlines, but I'm thinking end of August for prompts and end of September for fics. I'm also thinking of encouraging short, happy stories rather than long romances. I may even add a 'why do you want to see this written' option to the bottom of the prompt outline - just to be cheered up or to offset an angst balance or whatever. That one may need a bit of work...

I had planned to make it Doctor Who, Torchwood and crossover specific, but I'll open it up to all fandoms if wanted. (sorry karaokegal but some people like the fluff - I promise to find you some good angst to compensate ;))

Voting is still open, but watch this space for more updates.

I'd definitely be in favour of it being 'angst-free' rather than 'fluff' - basically as long as the characters aren't trying to killl each other it's allowed :D

And any fandom...? You do realise that means I'll be swamping you with Sheppard/Lorne, right? So you may want to think this one through...:P

Not to worry, just because I think H/W fluff is lie, a fantasy we tell ourselves about people and places as we want them to be, is no reason other folks shouldn't enjoy it. And I'm still open to TW/DW fluff because I'm just not willing to see Jack suffer ALL THE TIME, prettily as he does it.

What about crack or humour ...does that count if it's amusing and no one gets eaten by alien office furniture? I'm fairly sure I can do crack/humour...or as a thought, if I write crack and then take out all the improbable stuff...is that then fluff, have I been writing thinly veiled fluff all along??

I think I'm going to avoid the 'fluff' label and open it up to all happy fic. Preferably happy all the way through, although 'adventure' stories (like the shopping channel ones) are definitely allowed.

That sounds appropriately cheerful...I think it's the air of sickly sweetness that the word 'fluff' sometimes brings to mind that sometimes puts people off. Where originally I'm sure fluff was just an entertaining short or happy piece.

If Shopping Channel-esque fics are allowed then I'm sure I'd come and play...happy_campers sounds sensible and appropriate. Either way I like the idea of it being pan-fandom.
