You guys are a)brilliant and b)nuts. You did know I'd be reading what you wrote, right? ;D Despite your best efforts, none of you managed to actually break the form (no, not even with your essay, Fish ;)) and the results are showing up beautifully. I'm having geekgasms over how easy Google have made it to create these things and get the answers out. Googledocs->Create New->Form. That's it. I'd totally recommend it for ficathons and similar - it'll save hours of typing! \o/

I've been prodding at words and ideas for a few days, but nothing's really sticking, so I think I need some help. Reading my old stuff both helped and hindered. Helped because hey, I used to be able to turn out a not-too-shabby story or two. Hindered because hey, am I ever going to be able to do that again? It's feeling less and less likely as time goes on. I have some prompts owed from a meme a while back, but nothing's working right now on those. So, as ever, I'm turning to the trusty Timestamp meme:

Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

Yes, I did used to write fic, remember? It feels like a long time ago now. Most of it is here or on my fic tag. If you *really* want to help, I could use Torchwood, Doctor Who, Criminal Minds or Jack (including Sic Transit Tempus) requests, but I'm open to all suggestions!

I'll take the first ten and see what I can do with them. Thanks, guys!

Fifteen years after Waiting for Tomorrow (http://heretoutopia.livejournal.com/39895.html). Or I can pick something less complicated if you like...

Heh, interesting things happened in 1957, so yes, I think I can do that one...

Thanks :)

This is a bit out there, I apologize, but two weeks before (or ::handwave:: before) Emily's section of the "Five People..." fic here? That was a fascinating look at the Hub.

And by "prompts" did you mean something other than a timestamp prompt, or are those fandoms/people the ones you would prefer timestamp prompts for?

Just in case, here's a general one - Doctor Who, Martha, abandoned toys

Ooh, that's an intriguing request! I like that one definitely.

Ah, yes, that wording is confusing, isn't it? I meant requests, so yours is perfect :)

Apropos of absolutely nothing, I thought this thread at Ravelry would amuse you: Sal will have to go for jury duty. Being a cat is no excuse (http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/cat-knits/953928/1-25). For some reason, I have a mental image of The Fuzz being sworn in...

Bwah! I think I heard mention of that story but hadn't seen any details. So funny. And the Fuzz would be an awesome juror! He can fake paying attention with the best of them, and he would make darned sure court didn't go any later than 4:30 because that's when he insists on supper. Also, he would hop into the most comfortable chair in the room (probably the judge's) as soon as the person in it stood up. Hmm, on second thought, he might end up charged with contempt of court...

Okay, if this is too specific, I'll pick something else. Years and years after Quicksilver, the pendant makes another appearance. (Any of the Joneses finding it)

You're free to be as specific as you want! Will see what I can do, thanks :)

Drat, and I had such high hopes with my essay too! (Well, not so much from length as from the blather causing a code overrun or some such :P )

Hmm, giving you a prompt is difficult, because the stories that I can think of from the top of my head are all very nicely self-contained within themselves (and/or I am partial to the backstory/future which I have built up for myself). I shall give it a think and see if I come up with something. Or maybe others will have come up with something for me by then.

Hmmm, how about a timestamp a few months prior to 'Watch the Birdie' http://jadesfire2808.livejournal.com/192966.html

Or I can choose something else, if you'd rather...

...it's a little random, and I can't promise to get to it quickly - my SGA-mojo seems to have dried up - but I'll have a ponder and see if anything occurs to me :)

Thanks
