I've shared Out of the Blue videos before, but this is something special. The Festival of the Voice videos are all excellent, and definitely go check them out here (I like the Alternotives second-best). As for this one? Quite apart from being an awesome performance, the sheer complexity of this staggers me - so much going on at once, and all perfectly synchronised. This version isn't quite as good as their concert one, but it's a much better recording.

It also vindicates my craziness - I'm not the only one who can hear "Come on Barbie let's go party" in the middle of Poker Face. So there :P

I can't begin to tell you how much this video moved me. Not just because he's doing an incredible thing, but because of his passion, his vision for what reading and education can do not just for these children, but for his country. If you have a few pennies/cents that could go his way, you can get his details from the people who made the film.

The presenter confidently says that the women in the audience will enjoy it. *pets her* Yes, love, just the women, I'm sure.

Anyway, don't ask me how I found this. I can't remember what I did an hour ago, let alone this morning. But this year, I give you Singing Cowboys. Or to give the clip its official title "Captain Smartypants Sings Driedel". I have no idea why they would do this, apart from to make me giggle.

That worked.

For all the librarians on my friends-list (and there's quite a few of you!) and all of you who love books, this should be compulsory viewing.
